Was feeling ill, with no 'feel good' pill,
So went to see the doctor.

Now I'm lounging around in a hospital gown
But I'll be healthy ever after!
(sing to the tune of Jack and Jill)

Hello from the hospital,

Some people go to a resort for vacation but not me, I go to the hospital! I felt like I was coming down with a chest cold or something but ended up in the hospital with what they thought was pneumonia.

As more tests were completed they discovered that I had a heart valve that just wasn't working. So I had surgery last week to repair the valve. Now I'm enjoying my first class vacation at the hospital and looking forward to being back At the Farm very soon. My elves are taking care of things At the Farm for me while I get well.

Some things did freeze last Thursday morning but there is still lots of fabulous produce for you to buy! The first of the Minnesota apples are available now. I'll keep you updated each week with the varieties I have. The fall produce is coming in, winter squash is always the first to arrive and we have it in now with lots more to come.

We are gearing up for Scarecrow Saturday on October 8th. Be sure to come that day and view our teepee, covered wagon, and other fall displays of pumpkins, gourds, corn shocks, broom corn, hay, etc. Bring your camera for a photo shoot to capture a fabulous fall memory. You'll be able to visit the Apple Shack for excellent Minnesota grown apples, sip a glass of cider and just enjoy. Mark October 8th on your calendar!

See you soon,
Donna
