Sent May 25, 2011The water is high! Oh my! Oh my! When can I plant?
I need the fields to dry! Hello, The barn swallows returned on May 6. Folklore says the cold weather is
over is when the barn swallows come back. This is the best time of the year! I'm open Monday through Saturday now. And the weather will determine if I am open on Memorial Day. Call ahead to make
sure 952-442-4816. I have worm castings to add to your container gardens. This extra boost in the soil enhances the growth of your plants. This year is my first time to offer this. I have great
soil for container gardens too. My seeds for vegetables are sold in bulk. When you buy seeds off the racks in the hardware stores, grocery stores, or other garden spots they do not teach you
about the product like I do. |
It's not too late to get your onion sets and seed potatoes. And lots of

Fern peony plants are also available. I use a Jack fertilizer for my flowers and I have it for sale too.
And of course all the garden advice you need is available from me in person or get my updated book, Gardening According to Donna - With Canning Appendix. It can help you become a
successful gardener. I added the canning tips section to the book I published last year full of 50 plus years of gardening expertise. Last year's version sold out quickly so I reprinted the
updated edition this spring. Call or stop by to purchase mybook! Its a great resource for any gardener or want-to-be gardener. |

Sister Saturday Party and Plant Swap At the Farm The Sister Saturday Party At the Farm
was a winner! I was so worried about the weather but I have to say it was a blessing in disguise. I believe people could not work in their yards so came to have an experience At the Farm! We were
wall to wall people all day!The Plant Swap and Junk Market participants had a tough time of it out in the rain. I'm so proud to have had them come in spite of the weather. They
really did a fabulous job! Thank you so much to all the participants who braved the rain. Jenn Bostic was a huge draw! She performed in the barn, as it even rained under the tent. And who could
sit out side in the rain to hear her? See photo at right. Really all the events that were planned were a huge success!

The treats and hotdogs were outstanding! People are amazed that all the food and beverages were free. But when you have a party you have to eat, right? Thanks to all who made this
party so successful. It makes me look like a queen. And thanks again to all who came to enjoy the farm! See you soon! Donna |
