Happy New Year to All!

2011 will be a great year!

I had just a fabulous Christmas. I missed the Christmas Cottage not being open, but 2011 should work. I hope to do a nostalgia theme Christmas, like years gone by.

Thank you for all the support and kind words of encouragement you give me. I'm so blessed to have all of you shop At the Farm.

The metrodome has nothing on me! My new (old) greenhouse that I got from my Country Store last summer collapsed during those awful snow storms! A new roof was put on the greenhouse last fall but now the hoops are bent flat from the weight of the snow. As Olivia said, "Farming is not for the faint of heart!" I guess I always need a new challenge, it will get fixed in the spring.

2011 should be exciting and I'll be able to grow for you. I'll also have vegetable seeds, seed potatoes and onion sets for sale in the spring. And vegetable plants for your garden needs: tomato, pepper and cabbage plants. herb plants will follow.

The pepper seeds are already ordered, they need to be started the first week of February so they are ready for you to plant. I have eggs available most of the time now. Call ahead to make sure 952-442-4816.

Let me know what I can do for you. Love to hear from you!

Happy New Year!
Donna

Butter Cream Frosting

2 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
3 tablespoons whipping cream
2 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla or lemon or almond extract

Combine powdered sugar and whipping cream in a bowl. I use my hand mixer to blend, it makes it a lot smoother.
If too stiff, add a little more whipping cream.

Add butter and vanilla or extract. Blend again.

This amount is enough to top a sponge cake or angel food cake. Maybe a 9 x 13 pan also.
