As the cement truck rolled in
The memories came flooding back
Leon's 45 years of concrete work
Came rushing back in a flash.

Hello,

I had a cement pad poured for my new/old shed. (see photo at right) I'm having the shed from my old Country Store moved to the farm to maybe use as an Apple Shack. That shed has many so many good memories. I hope to have an Apple Event in September but sometimes my plans don't always work! I'll keep you posted!

I'm working on self-guided garden tours of my flower gardens this summer. I would love to share them with you. In July and August on Friday and Saturday 11 am to 2 pm. You can come and walk through the flower gardens. Then sit a spell and just enjoy the splendor while you sip a glass of lemonade, ice tea or ice water.

July Dates: 16-17, 23-24, 30-31
August Dates: 6-7, 13-14, 20-21

The Antique Loft will be open too!

Heard on the radio about a great bumper sticker . . .
'Honk if you love Jesus!
Text if you want to meet Him!'
Tell this to your kids and grandkids who drive.

See you soon!
Donna

More Gardening Tips

The meadow hay is here! It's alot better than last year. He got it cut earlier this year and I couldn't find any seeds. I use it for cucumbers and tomatoes. Put it down about 6 inches thick. Keeps food clean, weeds down, moisture in. (see photo at right of hay around my tomato plants) You can use it around peppers and eggplant also.

I will have wheat straw as soon as the wheat is harvested. It is still green in the fields.

I have that great hoe for sale if the weeds are getting ahead of you! We seem to be about two weeks ahead of other years. Flowers are really blooming early this year!
