Gardening Tips

You have time to continue planting all through June. Warm crops love this weather; tomatoes peppers, herbs, cucumbers, eggplant, beans, dill, basil, cilantro, zuchinni. You can replant (second round) lettuce, beets, green onions and carrots to prolong the harvest of these cold crops. See my organic lettuce in the photo at right.

Do not mulch soil this early in the season. The plants need the heat from the sun to warm the soil and help the plants get established. If you mulch too soon the soil stays too cool.

Happy Gardening!
