Bright and sunny is the day
Green and lush are the fields
Flowers are perky so come and sit
And tell me something to add to my wit.

Hello,

I'm hosting self-guided garden tours of my flower gardens this summer. I would love to share my lovely gardens with you in July and August on Friday and Saturday 11 am to 2 pm.

You can come and walk through the flower gardens. Then sit a spell, and just enjoy the splendor, while you sip a glass of lemonade or ice water.

July Dates: 23-24, 30-31
August Dates: 6-7, 13-14, 20-21

The Antique Loft will be open too!

Gardening Tips

It's time to fertilize your flower beds. Use Jacks, I sell this. Be sure to keep dead-heading your flowers. Hoe up the soil aournd them in your flower beds.

It's important to feed your flower containers too. Prune back long stems as that helps flowers keep blooming. Petunia baskets can be pruned back 1/3 or so, then feed.

If your coleus want to seed out, pinch the seed off. This keeps the plant looking better.

Hydrangea blossoms can soon be cut, when they turn green. Put in a pail of water for a day (out of the sun). Then hang them up to dry in the garage. See photo at right.
