More May Gardening Tips - Timing is Everything!

The Iceman Days came early this May . . .
The 'old' gardeners of Carver County gave us great advice about frost in May! I hope the last frost is OVER!

It should be safe now to plant tomatoes, peppers, egg plant, green beans, squash, herbs, basil, cucumbers, flowers, and cilantro seeds.

Have you fed your soil? I have organic fertilizer - Bone meal for fruiting and flowering, gypsum to work into clay soil to loosen it. Moss for your hanging baskets, and the best soil for your pots.

Be careful watering your vegetable garden too early, as the roots will not grow down to find the water, they will just stay close to the surface and wait for you to water them.

HAPPY PLANTING!
