Hello,

The fields are just magnificent! The green color is every shade-light, dark, pale, shining, blue-green, yellow-green. What a sight! Each season brings an array of spectacular color!

Watch for potoato bugs, I have found some. You can pick them off and smash them. I do have organic spray if you prefer.

Fresh strawberries are ready in u-pick-em fields. I do not have a patch but my neighbor does.

Fresh Strawberry Pie Recipe!

If this recipe looks familiar to you its because I also sent it last June. I hate to repeat myself (it makes people think you are old!) but this one is a tried and true favorite and worth repeating!

1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons corn starch
1 cup water
1 quart strawberries (home grown from
At theFarm)
Baked pie shell

Arrange half of washed berries (dried on a paper towel) in the baked pie shell. Mix corn starch with part of the water. Mash the rest of berries, add sugar, cornstarch and water mixture, and the rest of the water in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil until thick (should be clear and glossy). Pour over berries and refrigerate until cold. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.

Serve with real whipped cream! For best whipped cream, use a hand beater and have the bowl and the beater cold (I put mine in the freezer). Whip the cream and add sugar and vanilla.

ENJOY!
