Raisin Sauce for Ham 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed) 1 teaspoon mustard (dried or prepared) 2 tablespoons vinegar 2 tablespoons lemon juice (optional) 1 1/2 cup water
1 to 3 tablespoons flour mixed with 1/2 cup water 1/4 to 1/2 cup raisins |
|
Use a one or two quart kettle. In the kettle mix the brown sugar and one cup of water.
Add mustard, vinegar, lemon juice. Mix flour and 1/2 cup of water. Add to mixture. Add raisins. Cook over low heat to start. It will thicken as it cooks. Takes about 10 to 15 minutes. I make this almost the last thing before dinner. I serve this warm in a bowl for my guests to put over their ham slices. Enjoy!
