Sent July 16, 2008Hello, The straight line winds last Thursday did a number At the Farm
. Two large trees went down and a lot of branches. The tomato cages went over, onion tops broke off. Corn plants fell over, pea fences layed down. Its not so pretty but at least no buildings were
damaged. I'm picking peas, green beans, yellow beans, beets, candy onions, green onions, kohlrabi, leaf lettuce, parsley, basil, zucchini, cucumbers and cabbage.

Hobo Supper Put in foil pouches or make your own. New Red Potatoes Corn on the Cob (2 inch chunks)
Fresh Green Beans (homegrown is best) Onion (chunks) Carrot (sliced) Drizzle with olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Roast in foil pouch(es) for 15-18 minutes. Experiment with
different vegetable combinations. Grilled Peaches for Dessert Cut peaches in half. Brush with olive oil. Roast 4-5 minutes cut size down. Place in bowl and add ice cream on
top! Enjoy! |
